Mission

Our mission is to support and promote data-informed institutional review, planning and decision making to help HKU achieve its strategic goals and academic excellence as a world-class university, through provision of timely, reliable and insightful data analytics.

Service Outline

Internally, MIU works closely with the Senior Management Team and supports other faculties and administrative offices. It provides annual management reports to Budget and Resources Committee and Audit Committee.

Externally, the office provides annual statistical reports to the University Grants Committee and other government departments.

History of MIU

MIU was established in 1998. Initially, it was a constituent unit of the Registry. It was subsequently transferred to the President's Office on 2 December 2003. Currently the Director of the Unit reports to the Executive Vice-President (Administration and Finance).
